Funnyman Alan Katz has majored in silliness for more than 30 years. He will bring his sense of humor to our last episode of the #NYTReadalong for 2021. We can all use a laugh right about now, right?

His newest book, “Misty the Cloud,” written with the Today show’s Dylan Dreyer, debuted at No. 3 on The New York Times’s Best Sellers List for Children’s Picture Books. Neil Parekh, our executive producer, will be guest hosting.

Alan has written for several Emmy-nominated TV shows, including “The Rosie O’Donnell Show”; animated series, like “Pinkalicious,” “Taz-Mania,” “Disney’s Raw Toonage” and “Goof Troop”; several productions of the Grammy Awards and the Tony Awards; “Kids Are People Too”; a slew of Nickelodeon projects, including “Whoopi’s Littleburg”; network specials and game shows; and articles published in The New York Times and the New York Daily News, among others. He has also created hundreds of comic books, trading cards, web videos and other special projects for kids and their parents.

Here are two special features in Sunday's paper.

Earlier this week, The New York Times also published two incredible pieces on Climate Change that were beautiful online.

Every week, we review the print edition of the Sunday New York Times, taking audience comments and interviewing special guests.
