Although we missed you last week on Mother’s Day, the #NYTReadalong is back this week with a great guest. Lisa Napoli is a journalist and author. Her most recent book, "Susan, Linda, Nina & Cokie" is the story of the 'founding mothers' of NPR wrapped around the emergence of public radio and second wave feminism in the seventies. This is her fourth book.
Over the years she has worked as a journalist, covered presidential campaigns, the Waco hostage standoff, an outdoor hacker convention, and the then-emerging culture of the Internet and digital technology, all at a wide variety of news outlets (some which no longer exist) including the New York Times CyberTimes, MSNBC, and the public radio show Marketplace.
Click here for more information about Lisa.
Also, if you haven’t already done so, register for Social Media Weekend, produced by Digimentors (May 21-22). You can get 20% off if you use the code NYTREADALONG. We’ll talk more about it during the show.
Every week, we review the print edition of the Sunday New York Times, taking audience comments and interviewing special guests.
Neil Parekh is our Executive Producer and Guest Host. Our Production Team includes: Paula Kiger, Steve Taylor, Julia Weeks and Carla Baranauckas.
