Neil Parekh, our Executive Producer, will be guest hosting this week’s edition of the #NYTReadalong. Joining him will be Terence Smith, an award-winning journalist, political reporter, foreign correspondent, editor and television analyst over the course of a five-decade career. He spent 20 years at The New York Times and later worked with CBS News, The News Hour with Jim Lehrer, and served as the Guest Host for the Diane Rehm Show on NPR.
His memoir, “Four Wars, Five Presidents: A Reporter's Journey from Jerusalem to Saigon to the White House” (hot off the press, publication date: October 15), covers everything from the inner workings of the White House to four wars and stories drawn from the daily lives of people in 44 countries. He also provides a first-hand account of the evolution of journalism from print to digital.
