This week, on the 50th Anniversary of The New York Times’ publication of The Pentagon papers, our guest is Hedrick Smith, one of the reporters who worked on the history-making project. Hedrick Smith is a Pulitzer Prize-winning former NYT reporter who was at the paper from 1962 to 1988. He is an Emmy award-winning producer and correspondent; author of five bestselling books (including The Russians and The Power Game) and is currently Executive Editor of reclaimtheamericandream.org.

This is the second of a two-part series on The Pentagon Papers. Last week (June 6), our guest was Linda Amster, a researcher on the project.
