After a summer and early fall hiatus, Sree’s Sunday #NYTReadalong is back with a new format and several new features.

  • 60 Minutes: We will shorten the show to a crisp 60 minutes, ending at 9:30am ET.

  • Occasional Guests / More Time with the Newspaper: We will still have guests on occasion, but we will spend more time focusing on the journalism we have come to love (and occasionally question).

  • Viewer Input: We will also solicit more of your input. (For example, what stories are you tracking this week? What articles have caught your attention?)

  • Spotify / Apple Podcasts: On Sunday, we are also going to launch the audio podcast version of the #NYTReadalong on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

  • New Sponsor: We are also introducing a new sponsor, The Graphic History Company led by Prof. Walter Greason and Tim Fielder.

This week, we will focus on the U.S. Elections (particularly Zohran Mamdani in New York City); President Trump; The Shutdown; ICE’s presence in Chicago and elsewhere, the devastation of Hurricane Melissa, and all the latest news. Sree will be in the big chair on Sunday, leading the discussion. I will produce the show AND review the paper with him.

We dug into the vault and did a little research. Sunday will be Episode 376. Thank you to everyone who has watched the show over the years and shared it on social media.

With these changes, we will be in a position to continue to review and critique the print edition of the Sunday New York Times, with commentary on the graphic design, photography, coverage decisions and more.

One thing that won’t change? We will be live at 8:30 a.m. ET. On Sunday, most of the United States will be turning their clock backs one hour. For a few weeks, the show will air at 1:30 p.m. GMT and 7:00 p.m. IST. If you miss the show, you can always watch the replay, right on this page.

Sree’s Sunday #NYTReadalong is produced by Digimentors in partnership with Scroll and Scroll Global, one of India’s most important independent websites.

Sree Sreenivasan has been reviewing the print edition of the Sunday New York Times for ten years. Neil Parekh is the executive producer and occasional guest host.
