Sree Sreenivasan and I are hosting Ep. 395 of The Sunday #NYTReadalong on May 3. We will be live at 8:30 a.m. ET, 12:30 p.m. GMT and 6:00 p.m. IST. If you miss the show, you can always watch the replay, right on this page.
The Supreme Court dealt a devastating blow to American democracy this week by gutting the Voting Rights Act of 1965. We’ll also discuss World Press Freedom Day and a free event on Wednesday, May 6, “Freedom of the Press: Views from the Front Line.” Last week, we offered a #NYTReadalong remembrance of Andrew Hacker. This week, his beloved wife, Claudia Dreifus will join us for a quick cameo at the beginning of the show.
