#NYTReadalong | J. Alex Tarquinio (Contributor, The New York Times and Foreign Policy)

Updated: Oct 16, 2022

This week, our #NYTReadalong guest is J. Alex Tarquinio, a contributor to both The New York Times and Foreign Policy. Alex is a past president of the Society of Professional Journalists and has also written for The Wall Street Journal and Forbes. Neil Parekh will be the guest host.

Her most recent articles for The New York Times have focused on the impact of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on the energy markets. She has a piece in Sunday’s paper, “War Colliding With Recession Risks Leave Energy Markets on Uncertain Path.” (Click here for a gift link to the article.)

For Foreign Policy, most of her writing has focused on France, including a great piece on Josephine Baker.

Alex is also a past president of the Society of Professional Journalists. We’ll talk about their upcoming conference, #MediaFest22, and an SPJ summit on disinformation she organized with support from craig newmark philanthropies. (Craig Newmark was a guest on our show back in March.)

Depending on your browser, you may have to press play when we go live at 8:30 a.m. ET
