This week, our guest on Sree’s Sunday #NYTReadalong is Rose Horowitz, a Pulitzer Prize-nominated journalist who founded #WomentoFollow, a global hashtag trend that reached 12 million views in its first two weeks. The movement’s goal is to amplify women’s voices on social media. Over the past year, Rose has hosted 29 #WomentoFollow shows generating more than 300,00 social media impressions. The inaugural #WomenToFollow Summit on February 28 will be a flagship event kicking off Women’s History Month. The keynote speaker will be Andrea Chalupa, co-host of Gaslit Nation. The Summit will feature three panels: Women’s Rights and Democracy in the World; Empowerment and Entrepreneurship; and Women Leading Change in Web3 and AI.

In addition to hosting her own show, Rose also produced 250 consecutive episodes of Sree Sreenivasan’s COVID show, co-hosting 30 of them.

She's on Call She also helped conceive, create, and launch a weekly medical show, “She’s On Call,” hosted by Dr. Sujana Chandrashekar and Dr. Marina Kurian.

COVID-19 Oral History Project We’ll also take a look at a NYT Magazine piece about The NYC Covid-19 Oral History, Narrative and Memory Archive at Columbia University.


 

We have been reviewing the print edition of the Sunday New York Times for almost seven years.
