For the 400th episode of The Sunday #NYTReadalong, we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than by having three of our closest friends at The New York Times—Tom Jolly, Wayne Kamidoi and Mike Connors—join us as special guests. We are also welcoming back our long-time producer, Paula Kiger to join me and Sree as a special co-host. *Scroll down for free pdfs of Knicks Special Sections
Ep. 400 (yes, 400!) of The Sunday #NYTReadalong will be livestreamed on June 28. We will be live at 8:30 a.m. ET, 12:30 p.m. GMT and 6:00 p.m. IST. If you miss the show, you can always watch the replay, right on this page. Tom Jolly is the Print Editor of The New York Times. We once hosted the show from his kitchen table.
Wayne Kamidoi is the Art Director of The New York Times. He has shared countless exclusive pdfs with us, to share with our viewers.
Mike Connors is the Managing Director of The New York Times Production Department, helping to supervise College Point printing plant. Sree once did a livestream from College Point and as part of my 50th birthday celebrations, Mike gave me a tour of the plant.
Tom, Wayne and Mike are just three of the approximately 275 guests who have appeared on the show over the past ten years. It’s been an incredible ride and we’re not done yet.

Any Knick fans out there? Are you into sports journalism or graphic design? One of the topics we'll discuss on The #NYTReadalong is the Power of Print.
These special sections are offered for free to our viewers thanks to Tom, Wayne and Mike.
The number of pages and the scale, and the interest in print advertising, is impressive. Tom and Mike will talk about all of this came together.

The #NYTReadalong: A Look Back
On October 24, 2015, Sree Sreenivasan, then a professor of “new media” at Columbia University, decided to experiment with Facebook Live by dropping a Sunday New York Times on his coffee table and commenting on the graphics, layout, article placement and the news of the week.
I started watching the show about a year later and shortly after that, I started helping Sree on Sunday mornings by dropping links to articles he was discussing. When I asked him about promoting the show, he said, "That's a great idea. you should do that." Eventually, he gave me his Facebook password and said, “Step in as the Guest Host.”
Paula Kiger, who had been watching the show, stepped in to help produce when I hosted. She even wrote a blog post about the show in December 2018 for Spin Sucks, "Shared Media: How Black and White Newsprint Led to a Vibrant Community."
In December of 2019, we started producing the show using StreamYard and eventually we were multi-streaming to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and our Digimentors website.
Carla Baranauckus joined our team as an incredible booker, helping us get A-list guests based in part on her long career as a copy editor at The New York Times. Steve Taylor (may his memory be a blessing) engaged with our LinkedIn viewers. Paula continued to engage with viewers on Facebook while I stepped into an Executive Producer role, guest hosting on a more frequent basis.
In January of 2025, we partnered with Scroll, one of India’s most important, independent websites, to reach a wider audience.
In November 2025, we added Spotify and Apple Podcasts as ways to watch/listen to the show.
In March of 2026, Sree named me his co-host and we changed the name of the show from “Sree’s Sunday #NYTReadalong” to “The Sunday #NYTReadalong.”
Thank you to everyone who has supported the show over the past 10 years / 400 episodes and shared it on social media. Do we have another 10 years / 400 more episodes in us? We’ll see.
The Sunday #NYTReadalong is produced by Digimentors in partnership with Scroll and Scroll Global, one of India’s most important independent websites.
